When you want to brighten up a room or are looking for a flooring color off the beaten path, white is an interesting option. While the choices are fairly slim with certain types of floor coverings, laminate is an exception. If you’re interested in purchasing white flooring for your home, this guide is for you as we’ve compiled a list of the top brands and a few tips that ensure your floors stay that color for years to come.
Mohawk White Laminate Flooring
White laminate may be a challenge to find from some brands, but it isn’t if you choose to go with Mohawk. Their selection spans all three of their laminate lines and more than a half-dozen collections. While some shades are “whiter” than others, there’s no mistaking White Weathered Pine with its worm look and hand-scraped texturing.
That’s the only style in the Chalet Vista Collection that’s white, but you’ll find more options in the Boardwalk Collective Collection. Gulf Sand is the lightest, but Bleached Linen is just a shade darker and Silver Shadow is an option if you want to add a splash of color to your flooring. Sandcastle Oak and Silver Ivory are two more alternatives from the RevWood lineup.
The last two white laminate flooring styles from Mohawk we want to touch on are from the RevWood Plus line. Cotton Knit Oak has a bit of gray, but are large planks measuring 9.4” wide. Urban Mist from the Hartwick Collection is lighter and measures 7.5” wide. Flooring from the Selection and Plus lines is thicker, and you won’t have to worry about moisture or the occasional spill.
Pergo White Laminate Flooring
Pergo is one of the more well-known companies in the laminate world, and a fan favorite among consumers throughout the United States. One of the whitest colors from the company is called Ocean View Oak from the TimberCraft +WetProtect line. Dove White Oak isn’t far off but has a touch of gray mixed with lighter white tones.
Both of these styles are suitable for use in damp locations but don’t have underlayment attached like flooring from the Outlast+ series. Our top pick from this line is White Whisper Maple. It’s a 10mm thick board in the standard size, but waterproof so it’s safe to steam mop. Glazed Oak and Soft Glazed Oak are two more white alternatives from Pergo.
Balterio White Laminate Flooring
Balterio is known for their well-made flooring, which is available in a variety of colors and patterned styles. While their white laminate flooring section isn’t the largest, they have two of the truer shades on the market with Arctic Floorboard and Milk.
You can find Milk in the Dolce Vita Collection, and these beautiful micro-grooved boards measure 7.4”W x 47”L and are 7mm thick. Arctic Floorboard, on the other hand, is just as white but only has grooves on two sides. They are slightly thicker, wider, and longer than the previous style as well.
Off-White Oak lives up to its moniker for obvious reasons while Magnolia Elm and Diamond Oak share more similarities than differences from a color standpoint. Loft White from the Quattro Eight Collection is one of the more intriguing options, however. These boards have a soft-touch matte finish with layered shades of white and off-white.
Other Brands to Consider
The Aquaguard line is an affordable water-resistant type of laminate flooring, and while they don’t have any true whites in their catalog, they have some styles that are close. Camarillo Natural Oak fits that bill as it’s a very light blonde, while Buff Cream is listed as white but has just a touch of silver or gray. Marfil has a similar hue, as does Linen Oak Natural, although it has more texturing.
Eternity Floors is another interesting option, although they only have two light colors with Ibiza and Cayenne. Both are 12.3mm thick with an AC4 wear layer, but Ibiza is about an inch wider and has a pressed-edge while Cayenne has a V-Groove or pressed-edge.
Like to shop at Home Depot? They have an impressive collection of laminate flooring that includes several styles that are white or very light. Maui Whitewashed Oak from Innovations is the first style we want to touch on. It’s ideal if you like the look of worn, weathered wood and is one of the widest boards on the market at a bit over 11”. Home Decorators also has two cleaner styles with Pearmont Oak and Silver Cliff Oak.

Conclusion
When compared to the other colors commonly found in laminate flooring, white is somewhat of a rarity. We covered some of the more popular options, so while you’re highly likely to find more styles as you browse through flooring manufacturer’s catalogs, the selection is still fairly sparse. Whatever brand you choose, remember our tips to keep your floors clean – something that can be challenging with white laminate.
