BerryAlloc Laminate Collections

The BerryAlloc website makes finding the perfect laminate flooring for your home a breeze. Each of the company’s collections are clearly labeled and every listing provides you with links to brochures and datasheets. The company left no stone unturned, so you can quickly find out the ratings for their laminate flooring along with other key data.

All of the flooring from BerryAlloc is part of a larger collection except for the Chateau Collection which stands alone. If you are partial to Herringbone patterns, you’ll have 10 colors to choose from including natural tones and styles like Charme Black. All the laminate boards from this collection measure 19.8”L x 3.3”W, are 8mm thick, and beveled on all four sides.

Ocean Laminate Collection

The Ocean Collection from BerryAlloc consists of three separate series with plenty of similarities, but a few key differences. It’s also the company’s best collection if you plan to install laminate flooring in a bathroom or kitchen.

Retro Chic

Retro Chic

The regular Ocean collection provides the most variety with 14 different colors. Most are natural, aside from a few light grey styles and their Retro Chic laminate flooring. These boards are all completely beveless and water-resistant thanks to BerryAlloc’s Hydro Plus technology.

The Ocean V4 Collection features the same colors, except for the Retro Chic patterns. They’ve been replaced by three stone-like options and these boards are beveled on all four sides. As for the Ocean Luxe lineup, boards from this series also have four bevels, but with more realistic texturing. The shades are also new with Canyon Light, Grey, Light Grey, Natural, and Brown.

Ocean Luxe

Ocean Luxe

BerryAlloc utilized their Duo Loc installation system for all laminate boards in the Ocean Collections. Each plank is 8mm thick like the boards in the Chateau Collection, but measure 7.48”W x 50.7”L because of their traditional style. All Ocean Collection laminate boards are water-resistant when properly installed.

While Oceans is engineered for use in damp areas, the Finesse Collection is designed to make smaller spaces feel more roomy. There are 15 colors overall including shades from the previous collection, but these boards use 5G Loc installation technology. They are also beveled on all sides, and the narrowest laminate flooring from the company at 6.1”W x 50.7”L.

Glorious Laminate Collection

Generally, you can’t mix laminate flooring due to color variations, but some company’s design flooring so homeowners or designers can mix boards of varying lengths and widths. Whether you want to combine narrow boards with wide ones or are looking for something realistic, you can find it in the Glorious Collection.

There are four collections from BerryAlloc that carry the Glorious branding with Glorious, Glorious Small, Glorious XL, and Glorious Luxe. All are extra-long with the same construction featuring 5G Loc and bevels on four sides. This allows you to fit their small, regular, or extra-large boards together with Luxe being the exception.

Glorious Collection

Glorious Collection

Laminate flooring from the base Glorious Collection measures 7.4”W x 80”L while the Glorious Small planks are a little over an inch shorter at 6.1” wide. The Glorious XL lineup has the widest laminate boards which measure 9.4” wide, and flooring from all three of these collections is 9mm thick.

While the Glorious Luxe Collection has similar tones and is the same size as the standard series, they are “cracked” for an extra layer of realism. Glorious and Glorious XL have 10 colors each, but there are only 8 shades with Glorious Small which may affect your planning depending on the pattern you have in mind.

Impulse Laminate Collection

If you like the colors available in the Ocean and Glorious collections, but don’t need water-resistant planks or extra-long boards, the Impulse Collection may be the best choice for your home. There are three collections to choose from based on the style of bevel you like, but the colors remain largely the same across the board.

Impulse Collection

Impulse Collection

Impulse is the base collection featuring boards without bevels in 17 different colors including the Retro Chic patterns. Impulse V2 has more natural tones along with bevels on two sides while Impulse V4 collection features boards beveled on all four sides. All laminate flooring from these three collections are listed at Duo Loc and are 8mm thick measuring 7.4”W x 50.7”L.

Smart Laminate Collection

Every manufacturer has a budget flooring range, and with BerryAlloc it appears to be the Smart 7 Collection. With 14 different colors, there is a style for everyone including whitewashed hues like Crush Light and Chestnut White. It’s one of their larger collections, although Smart 8 V4 isn’t far behind with 15 colors.

Smart 7 collection

Smart 7 collection

The difference between those collections is the thickness and bevel styles. Laminate flooring from the Smart 7 collection is only 7mm thick and there are no bezels. Alternatively, Smart 8 V4 has bevels on all four sides and is 8mm thick. Sandwiched between these two collections is the standard Smart 8 series which is 8mm thick with 9 colors and no bevels.

Eternity Collection

The last collections currently in BerryAlloc’s catalog are Eternity and Eternity Long. The company took the same approach with this series as they did with their Smart Laminate line. That means Eternity is a combination of the Glorious and Ocean collections, but with a few distinct advantages including a slightly longer commercial warranty.

Eternity Collection

Eternity Collection

There are 12 colors in the Eternity Collection, most of which will be familiar if you browsed the company’s other lines.  They are sized at 7.4”W x 50.7”L, but have Hydro Plus protection to help keep water at bay. They are also 12mm thick and rated for commercial usage, just like the laminate planks in the Eternity Long Collection.

If you think you’re doing a double-take with this line, you’re not as it’s essentially the same collection as Glorious Luxe. There are two more colors, and they are thicker at 12mm with water-resistance as well. If you liked the cracked look of Luxe, but want something tougher, it’s certainly a line to consider. Both Eternity Collections have an AC5 abrasion class rating, use the 5G LOC system, and are beveled on all sides.

BerryAlloc Laminate Warranties

Warranties are an important part of the equation when considering any type of flooring from companies both big and small. When dealing with laminate, it can be critical considering it’s a multilayered product that’s more susceptible to damage than solid hardwood or luxury vinyl flooring.

With BerryAlloc laminate flooring, you’ll get a lifetime guarantee for residential use, and 5 years if it’s used in a commercial setting. The Eternity Collection has a 6-year guarantee for commercial usage, but that’s the only difference in the policy with their laminate collections.

The Green Factor

Eco-friendly flooring grows in popularity every year as more manufacturers adopt the cause and try to reduce their carbon footprint. BerryAlloc is fully committed to sustainable development, whether you’re interested in their parquet flooring, LVP, or laminate collections.

All laminate flooring from BerryAlloc is produced in Belgium or Norway. They are CE certified for European requirements and listed as CARB Phase II Compliant as well. Their laminate is also PEFC certified, which means they support sustainable forest management.

BerryAlloc Pros, Cons, and Ratings

BerryAlloc laminate is an interesting alternative to domestic brands with collections full of classic colors and styles.  While they have excellent warranties, this European brand’s lineup is relatively small overall compared to other manufacturers. If you’re interested in learning more about the company or want to track down a specific style, you can do so from their official website.
